 Server Upgrades 11/03/2009
Dear Customer
As from Saturday 14th March 2009 Digitalstroke will be ugrading all website hosting accounts. This will inevitably result in your website being offline for several hours. In addition email addresses will also not work correctly during this period. If your account is being upgraded during this period, you will need to provide DigitalStroke with an alternative email address in order to receive some new information and settings. You are advised to set up a temporary email address, such as a Hotmail account or other. You will also need to let DigtialStroke know the temporary email address and who you are in order for a smooth transition, by Friday the 13th!!!
Please note: Your website will not be lost, however you may experience some emails not being received etc. over a 24 hour period.
We will also telephone all affected customers individually, with any necessary details they will need etc.
The reason is simple and the benefits are immense. Over the past 7 years of using the current servers and the amount of times the servers have been upgraded, has lead us to a point where we could go no further on the servers we use. This also left us and our clients vulnerable to hackers and the possibility of servers being offline more and more. Due to information we received from our Server Administrators, the time was right to move lock stock and barrel to the latest servers, providing more security and stability.
However, if you have seen our website lately, you will see the message relating to website hosting charges. We will not be putting up the prices, but lowering them. So, not only will you benefit from cheaper web site hosting, enhanced server security, but optional benefits like Webmail, Spam Filters and much more.
Some things will change. Your email accounts will need some slight adjusting. For example your Usernames will change and thats more or less it.
